BLUE HILL, NE – Jon Capps, an Army veteran, business leader, and “Nebraska First” conservative, will officially launch his campaign for the Nebraska Legislature in District 38 with a kickoff event on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 PM at the Blue Hill Tavern in Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Capps, who currently serves as Commander of American Legion Post 176 and Vice Chairman of the Webster County Republican Party, brings more than 30 years of business and technology leadership experience, along with a lifelong record of service to his country, community, and the Constitution.

“District 38 deserves steady leadership, grounded in Nebraska values, with the know-how to make government work smarter and deliver results,” said Capps. “I’m running to strengthen our rural economy, protect constitutional freedoms, and prepare the next generation to thrive right here in Nebraska.”

The campaign kickoff will give friends, neighbors, and supporters the chance to hear directly from Capps about his vision for the district, which includes expanding rural broadband, cutting red tape for small businesses, securing elections, supporting agriculture, and protecting life, land, and Nebraska values.

The public is invited to attend the September 4th kickoff event to meet Jon, hear his vision for Nebraska’s future, and join the campaign effort. Suggested donation for the event is $50 per attendee. Checks may be made payable to Capps for Nebraska and mailed to 515 N Willson Street, Blue Hill, NE 68930.
