BLUE HILL, NE — Jon Capps, Army veteran, business leader, and candidate for the Nebraska Legislature in District 38, announced today that he is resuming full campaign activities following a temporary pause earlier this year to attend to family matters.
Capps temporarily suspended campaign travel and public events after experiencing a series of profound personal losses, including the passing of his sister, brother, and, most recently, his wife. After taking time to focus on family and reflection, he says he is now ready to re-engage with voters across the district.
“I’m grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and grace that so many Nebraskans have extended to me and my family during a very difficult season,” Capps said. “That support has meant more than words can express.”
Capps says the time away reinforced his commitment to the principles that led him to run for office: constitutional government, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, secure elections, and strengthening rural Nebraska communities.
“The work ahead matters,” Capps added. “I’m ready to get back on the road, meet with voters, listen to concerns, and share ideas about how we can keep Nebraska strong for the next generation.”
As campaign activities resume, Capps will be visiting communities across District 38 and is available to speak at community gatherings, civic organizations, county party conventions, and other local events. He is also available for interviews with local and statewide media outlets.
Supporters and organizations interested in hosting Capps or scheduling an interview can contact the campaign directly at team@joncapps.com.
