Army Veteran, Business Leader, and Conservative Problem-Solver Pledges Steady Leadership for Nebraska’s 38th District

Blue Hill, NE – Today, legislative candidate Jon Capps released his first campaign video, “Building What Lasts,” introducing himself to voters across Nebraska’s 38th Legislative District. The cinematic video highlights Capps’ military service, business leadership, and commitment to rural revitalization while outlining his priorities of faith, family, and freedom.

Capps, a U.S. Army veteran and former Chief Technology Officer, has spent more than 30 years building businesses, solving complex problems, and streamlining systems for Main Street companies and major American institutions. Now, he says, it’s time to bring that same discipline and accountability to state government.

“When others saw an empty building, Jon saw a way to bring life back to a small town—turning the old Blue Hill Motel into new housing,” the narrator explains in the video. “That’s rural revitalization. That’s vision.”

In the ad, Capps calls for smarter spending, stronger infrastructure, reliable broadband, and secure elections. He emphasizes his belief that government should “see the problem and fix the problem” while pledging to always put Nebraska values first.

“This isn’t about politics—it’s about priorities,” Capps says in the video. “Faith, family, and freedom. And I’ll never forget who I work for: you.”
